Each item in your basket has a setting:
- Exact brand – only that exact product. Good for things you're fussy about.
- Same quality (default) – we may use a supermarket's own-label product of the same type and quality, e.g. Tesco baked beans instead of Heinz. We never swap down to "value"/basics ranges.
- Cheapest of any kind – anything of the same type, including value ranges.
Any swap is clearly marked in your results. If you choose exact brand we'll still show you how much a same-quality swap would save.
