Ever since mySupermarket closed in 2020, UK shoppers have been piecing together comparisons from single-item price checkers. They're useful – but they answer the wrong question.
When we read through hundreds of reviews and forum posts about the tools that exist today, the same frustrations came up again and again:
- "The price was wrong when I got there." Stale prices, or online prices that don't match the shelf.
- "The total skipped half my list." If a store doesn't sell something, the basket looks cheaper than it is.
- "It ignored my Clubcard." Or multibuys, or delivery charges.
- "Where are Aldi and Lidl?" Usually the cheapest – and usually missing.
So we built TillTotal around one question: what will your shop actually cost?
That means applying loyalty prices only for cards you hold, working out multibuys for your quantities, adding delivery charges and minimum spends, showing missing items instead of hiding them, and telling you how fresh every price is. And because Aldi and Lidl don't publish their full ranges online, we're building their prices from shoppers' receipts.
We'd love you to try it and tell us what's wrong. Every report makes it better for everyone.
